The Agawam High School Building Committee typically meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month; meetings are subject to change, please check the Town of Agawam calendar at https://www.agawam.ma.us/agendacenter and the schedule page on this site for more meetings.

PROJECT UPDATES

Project Process - Module 3

Module 3 is under way and a detailed survey of the existing building has been done in order to identify and catalogue all the spaces that are currently being used.

Educational Visioning and Space Planning is completed, and with the help of the Leadership team, teachers, students and parents, we have identified existing issues and challenges with the building, as well as goals and visions for a potential new school and making the educational plan the best possible.

We also held the first two of four Community Forums in which we discussed more questions, comments and opinions from the public as the design team continues to create a great educational project that is fiscally responsible.

The project team submitted the Preliminary Design Program (PDP) to the MSBA on July 28, 2023 and are curently waiting on comments to be returned from the MSBA.

The next steps in the Feasibility Study is to narrow down the options for the project and submit the Preferred Schematic Report (PSR) on October 26, 2023. While working on this step there will be one more Comunity Forum to adress questions and opinions from the Town of Agawam.
