Building Project

Construction Phase

The construction process started in April 2025 with early site eanbling, followed by the Geothermal well drilling and construction of the community wing. Construction of the community wing along with parking and access road to that building will be completed in December 2026.

Geothermal well drilling started in early July and finished in October. To date, all 150 wells have been drilled, grouted, completed and tested. The crew is now installing the lateral piping from the well field to the new community wing.

The prep work for footings and foundation for the new community wing building started in late August and concrete pours started in September. Steel was then started in October and will run through the end of February 2026. Roofing has started with the flat roofs nearing completion, and the standing seam roofs will follow. Exterior framing/sheathing is ongoing, as well as the rough piping for MEP.

PROJECT UPDATES

Construction - Module 7

The High School project has now finished Design Development, and are now finalizing the Construction Documentation and Bidding which is leading into Module 7 – Construction. The District and it’s team continue to advance the project and the MSBA continues to monitor the project to ensure it remains on track and meets the expectation of both the District and the MSBA as defined in the Project Funding Agreement. The design team has completed the 100% Construction Documents and they have been issued for bidding. Fontaine Bros continues to award subcontractors to keep the construction going full speed ahead. The Community Wing is currently on track to be finished in December 2026.
